Health Service Planning at SALHN

SALHN has a dedicated Health Service Planning Team, that reports directly to the Chief Strategy Officer.

The Health Service Planning Team is responsible for the development of SALHN’s key planning activities including:

  • Integrated Planning Framework
  • Local Area Needs Assessment
  • SALHN Health Service Plan
  • Technical planning to inform infrastructure master planning
  • Clinical Service Plans
  • Clinical Service Capability Framework Assessment
  • General planning activities linked to SALHN and state-wide planning.

This team plays a vital role in ensuring services in SALHN are well placed to deliver the care the southern community needs now and into the future through the Clinical Service Planning process.

The team are working closely with clinical services to empower and support staff to plan and shape what their service should look like, with Clinical Service Planning well underway across a number of areas.

Southern Adelaide Local Area Needs Assessment: Have your say!

We’re undertaking an important piece of work, called the Southern Adelaide Local Area Needs Assessment, to ensure our services continue to meet the health care needs of communities, both now and into the future.

At the centre of this, we want you to share with us the health and wellbeing services that are important to you.

This will give us a better understanding of the priority health needs of the local communities we serve – including unmet health needs and challenges – so we can continue to be responsive to change needs and provide the best possible healthcare.

Have your say by Friday 1 March 2024:

  • Take the short YourSAy survey
  • Come along to one of our Community Sessions
  • Drop in and have a chat with our team at a Listening Post

By completing the survey, you also have a chance to be in the draw to win one of five $40 Prezzee e-vouchers (can be used at many different retailers).

The Southern Adelaide Local Area Needs Assessment will be completed by mid-2024 and this will be shared with the community once available.
