The Limestone Coast Local Health Network Governing Board has released the Mount Gambier Radiation Therapy Service Feasibility Study (PDF 2471KB).
LCLHN Governing Board Chair Dr Andrew Saies has welcomed the report’s findings and thanked everyone involved in the extensive process.
Recommendations
The independent report has recommended changes to how cancer care is delivered in the Limestone Coast but has found that establishing a radiation therapy service is not currently a safe, sustainable, or financially viable option.
