Mental health services

SA Health has a comprehensive range of public mental health services for children and adolescents, adults and older people in SA. Services are provided through community health centres and hospitals, and to consumers in their own homes.

Your general practitioner is able to help and can make referrals to specialist mental health services. There are also a broad network of non-government organisations that provide many important mental health services with assistance from the South Australian government.

Mental Health Triage Service - 13 14 65

The SA Health Mental Health Triage Service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

This service:

  • is the main point of access to state funded mental health services
  • can provide advice and information in a mental health emergency or crisis situation
  • is staffed by mental health clinicians
  • will assess and refer to acute response teams where appropriate.

If you feel that you may be in need of mental health support and have never accessed a mental health service before, please contact your general practitioner or phone our mental health triage service on 13 14 65.

COVID-19 mental health support

SA Health has established a network of telephone and online services that can provide you with mental health support during the COVID-19 pandemic. For information see the COVID-19 Mental Health Support page.

Community Clinical Rehabilitation Service (CCRS)

Community Clinical Rehabilitation Service (CCRS) is a voluntary clinical rehabilitation program for people who have an experience of mental illness. CCRS promotes wellness, recovery, and relapse prevention.

Our services

We provide a one-to-one rehabilitation service for people linked with community mental health services.

We support you to work towards your goals, using and building upon your current strengths and values to guide your recovery. We work with you, in a collaborative manner to help you develop your skills and live the life you want to live.

We are a time-limited service, working with you for between 3 – 6 months, however, it can be shorter or longer depending on your needs.

How to attend CCRS

If you are aged between 16 and 65 years of age, have a mental health diagnosis, and are linked with either the eastern or western Community Mental Health teams, you may be eligible to access CCRS services.

Talk to your care coordinator and/or doctor who can submit a referral on your behalf

Location and opening hours

We provide services Monday to Friday during business hours, in a variety of locations, depending on suitability and your needs.

We can work with you at:

  • CCRS Kidman Park Clinic, 308 Grange Road, Kidman Park 5025
  • your Community Mental Health Centre
  • within your home or somewhere within your local community

Your Community Mental Health Team will remain your primary point of contact, whilst you receive support from CCRS.
