Medicare Mental Health
The national Medicare Mental Health website helps you access the mental health and wellbeing resources and services that are right for you. It makes it easier to navigate and choose the most suitable care options, whether that’s face-to-face, via phone, or online.
You can also make a free call to 1800 595 212 between 8.30 am to 5.00 pm weekdays (except public holidays) and be connected with a trained professional. They can help you access local mental health services and supports that are right for you.
Medicare Mental Health Centres
Medicare Mental Health Centres can connect you with a range of mental health professionals for support, whatever your situation.
They are staffed by teams of highly qualified mental health professionals and people with lived experience of mental health crisis and emotional distress. They will listen and work with you to provide you with the care you need. Support through the Centres is free. You do not need an appointment or GP referral.
These walk-in services offer immediate support with no referral, appointment or Medicare card required.
