Country Referral Unit

You can contact the Country Referral Unit (CRU) to access a range of community health services for any health matter, big or small. You will receive information and referral to your local community health services to assist with your care and support.

Services can include:

  • Community nursing -  continence, stoma support, wound care, cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, breast care and diabetes education
  • Physiotherapy
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Dietitics
  • Podiatry
  • Social work
  • Speech Pathology
  • Community Mental Health
  • Childhood Health and Development 
  • Palliative care transitional care
  • Short term restorative care.


How to avoid the run around?

If you live in regional South Australia, you can call 1800 003 307 for a confidential discussion about health and home care services.

GPs, hospitals and health professionals can refer country clients to these services by calling 1800 003 307 or faxing 1800 771 211.
