If you are travelling long distances from the country to visit a patient on a particular day or are visiting someone in the Intensive Care Unit, check with nursing staff that your friend or relative will be available.

Patient entertainment
The bedside entertainment services at the Royal Adelaide Hospital are provided by Telstra and give patients access to a number of entertainment options on a pre-paid basis including digital television and radio channels, a range of movies on demand and internet access.

Public Wi-Fi
People who visit a number of SA Health sites will now have access to free Wi-Fi. For more information, go to the Public Wi-Fi page.
Car parking
The onsite car park is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and is located underground on levels 1 and 2. Charges apply. Weekly rates are available for the relatives or carers of long stay patients.
Access to the car park is via Port Road, George Street or the North Terrace/West Terrace/Port Road intersection.
A total of 50 accessible spaces are available across all levels for people who hold a Disability Parking Permit and are located close to main entrances and lift lobbies.
There are several short-term patient pick-up and drop-off zones for vehicles and taxis. These 15-minute zones are located on level 2 adjacent the Emergency Department and on level 3 in front of the main entrance.

The hospital design incorporates a combination of sensory aids and visual tools to assist people with a disability in navigating their way into and around the building.
