Head to Health helps everyone access the mental health and wellbeing services that are right for them. It makes it easier to navigate and choose the most suitable care options, whether that’s face-to-face, via phone, or online. It’s not an emergency or suicide crisis line but it’s the best starting point for many mental health issues and concerns.
Northern Adelaide Head to Health

The Northern Adelaide Head to Health Service offers caring, friendly and helpful support for adults experiencing distress, suicidal thoughts or crisis. The service is free and open every day.

Saturday and Sunday – 12:00 pm to 6:30 pm
Public holidays – 12:00 pm to 6:30 pm

The Urgent Mental Health Care Centre is a free service, open 24 hours a day, seven days a week for people experiencing a mental health crisis.
Mental health emergency
Mental Health Triage Service - 13 14 65
For help in a mental health emergency, the Mental Health Triage Service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
This service is the main point of access to state funded mental health services and can provide advice and information in a mental health emergency or crisis.
It’s staffed by mental health clinicians who will assess and refer to acute response teams where appropriate.
Regional residents should call the mental health triage service (to access the Rural and Remote Distance Consultation and Emergency Triage and Liaison Service) 24 hours a day, seven days a week on 13 14 65.
If you feel that you may need mental health support and have never accessed a mental health service before, please contact your general practitioner or phone the mental health triage service if urgent on 13 14 65.
