The Wudinna Hospital is run by the Eyre and Far North Local Health Network.
The hospital has eight inpatient beds and provides a range of sevices including emergency services, general medicine, surgical care, palliative care and outpatients.
There is also a 10-bed aged care facility, the Trudinger Aged Care Complex, providing a homeline setting, under the same roof but separate to the hospital.
Community Health services are based at the nearby Wudinna Community Health Medical Centre, which also houses a GP practice.
This is a 24-hour service. When you arrive at accident and emergency, you will be seen by the duty nurse to collect information and assess your illness or injury.
In a medical emergency, it is important that you do not ‘self present’ to hospital. SA Ambulance Service emergency medical dispatch support officers can provide advanced first-aid advice over the phone while an ambulance is on its way to you.
There is disabled parking onsite.
The building is wheelchair accessible and there are toilets for people with disability. Please ask at Reception.
General wards: 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.
