Services are provided 24 hours a day, seven days per week.

Maternity and obstetrics

Gawler Health Service have two obstetric and gynaecology specialists, a senior specialist doctor, and midwives ensuring 24-hour a day high-quality care. Women have a choice of special medical, midwife-only or GP shared care.

A community midwifery service assists women when they return home after the birth.

Chemotherapy services

The Gawler Health Service provides low-risk chemotherapy treatment in Gawler under the care of your oncologist based at the Lyell McEwin Hospital.

Gawler Health Service Chemotherapy Unit services include:

  • Coordination of your cancer care which can help you navigate the health system.
  • Low-risk chemotherapy treatment including oral chemotherapy and intravenous infusion treatments in the chemotherapy unit or via slow release pumps.
  • Access to video conferencing units so you can have follow-up appointments with your oncologist reducing the need to travel.
  • Non-chemotherapy infusion centre services including pump disconnects, PICC and Port flushes.

The list of specialists who provide surgical services at Gawler Health Service provided to assist GPs and members of the community with information about each specialist, including an indication of procedures performed, referral information, and the location of their consulting rooms.

The information listed has been provided by each specialist.

Information about surgeons can be found on the Royal Australasian College of Surgeon website 'Find a Surgeon' directory. The listing includes surgeons who meet the requirements of the College’s Continuing Professional Development program and have opted to be on the list.

Jones Radiology Gawler clinic offers low dose digital x-ray and digital OPG, ultrasound (including MSK and elastography), Low dose CT (including interventional), digital breast tomosynthesis and fluoroscopy.

Our Gawler clinic operates additional weekend hours between 9am-12pm on Saturday for general x-ray, dental and select ultrasound / CT procedures. Importantly, after hours and weekend, CT contrast can be performed under hospital GP supervision in a first for the local area.

SA Pathology services are offered to the public 6 days per week.

Located within Gawler Health Service. Enter through the 2nd entrance on the right after turning off Lyndoch Road; Gate 2, Car park 4. Use entrance for Galmec Specialist Suite, Radiology, Physiotherapy and Pathology.

On-site parking is available.

The Inner North Community Health Services provides a range of services from five sites in the region:
