The Modbury Hospital has been providing vital health care to its local community since it was established in 1973. As part of the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network the hospital provides emergency care, elective surgery, medicine, outpatient and sub-acute services including rehabilitation, geriatric and palliative care to more than 400,000 residents of Adelaide’s north and north-eastern community.

Modbury Hospital Redevelopment Project

Modbury Hospital has undergone many developments over the years and is in the final stages of a $98 million redevelopment.

New carparking arrangements for Modbury Hospital



In early 2021 the re-instated High Dependency Unit, new front entrance and kiosk at Modbury Hospital have opened.

Patients and Visitors to the hospital will notice a new driveway into the hospital for drop-offs and pick-ups and some changes to the carpark.

Redevelopment at the Modbury Hospital will continue with building recently completed on the new 20 bed Palliative Care Unit.

Our Short Stay General Medical unit is due for completion in early 2022.
