COVID 19 and abortion options
The Pregnancy Advisory Centre would like to recommend that during this time when physical distancing from others is advised to reduce transmission of COVID19, that clients who have pregnancies 9 weeks or less, consider their decision of method of abortion.
Opting for a Medication Abortion which takes place at home rather than having a surgical procedure which takes place in hospital, can reduce the risk of close contact with others and reduce the risk of viral transmission.
We continue to be able to safely provide surgical procedures for all clients over 9 weeks, and for those who feel the medication option is not suitable for them. If you have any questions please call and ask to speak to a health worker.
