COVID-19 client information

SA Dental is committed to safely supporting the South Australian community during the COVID-19 pandemic.

SA Dental is providing emergency and limited general dental services for adults and children across SA, in line with the State's response to the COVID-19 situation.

With the increasing COVID-19 cases in South Australia, SA Dental are implementing additional infection control measures to ensure we keep our clients and staff safe while providing dental care. As a result some general care will need to be postponed, and if this is the case you will be contacted by our staff. Thank you for your patience as we work through this.

If you are experiencing a dental problem, please phone your local dental clinic first.

Appointments

Appointments will be scheduled to ensure physical distancing and infection control measures are in place.

We ask that you attend by yourself if possible, or if need, with a maximum of one other person.

On arrival, clients (and anyone that attends with them) will need to:

  • Wear a mask (you will be provided with a mask if you arrive without one)
  • Do a COVID SAfe check-in
  • Answer questions about COVID-19 risk
  • Perform hand hygiene using alcohol-based hand rub
  • Practice physical distancing.

When in the clinic you will be asked to:

  • Follow directions to put any belongings on a dedicated hard surface which will be routinely cleaned between appointments,
  • Perform hand hygiene as required using alcohol based hand rub
  • Perform a mouthwash prior to your mouth being examined.

The following measures have also been implemented across our dental clinics to ensure the safety of our clients and our staff:

  • staff continue to practice strict infection control and hand hygiene procedures
  • asking clients to attend on their own, or with a maximum number of one other person only.
  • frequently accessed areas and surfaces are cleaned regularly.
  • removal of non-essential paper materials from the waiting rooms.

Thank you for your continued patience as we strive to provide services while adhering to the State’s response to COVID-19.

If you are being treated, tested or are self-isolating for COVID-19, and you have a dental emergency, please phone your local clinic for advice.
