COVID-19 client information, SA Dental

SA Dental is committed to supporting the South Australian community through the COVID-19 pandemic.

SA Dental is providing general and emergency dental services for adults and children across SA, in line with the State's response to the COVID-19 situation.

Clients are encouraged to phone, rather than attend, their SA Dental clinic if they are experiencing a dental problem.

Appointments will be scheduled to ensure physical distancing measures are in place.

On arrival, clients (and anyone that attends with them) will need to:

  • do a COVID Safe check-in
  • be screened for COVID-19 risk
  • perform hand hygiene using alcohol based hand rub
  • practice physical distancing .

You may also be asked to wear a mask

When in the clinic you will be asked to:

  • Follow directions to put any belongings on a dedicated hard surface which will be routinely cleaned between appointments,
  • Perform hand hygiene as required using alcohol based hand rub
  • Perform a mouthwash prior to your mouth being examined.

The following measures have also been implemented across our dental clinics to ensure the safety of our clients and our staff:

  • staff continue to practice strict infection control and hand hygiene procedures
  • optimising the number of appointments while minimising congestion in the waiting room.
  • asking clients to attend on their own, or with a maximum number of one other person only.
  • frequently accessed areas and surfaces are cleaned regularly.
  • removal of non-essential paper materials from the waiting rooms.

We thank you for your continued patience as we strive to provide services while adhering to the State’s response to COVID-19.

If you are being treated, tested or are self-isolating for COVID-19, and you have a dental emergency, please phone your local clinic for advice.
