Regional Health Scholarships
Public health services in regional South Australia are delivered by six regional Local Health Networks.
These include public hospital services and other community based health services such as community health and residential services for the aged and other vulnerable groups.
The six regional local health networks are:
- Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network
- Eyre and Far North Local Health Network
- Flinders and Upper North Local Health Network
- Limestone Coast Local Health Network
- Riverland Mallee Coorong Local Health Network
- Yorke and Northern Local Health Network
The regional health networks are committed to providing a range of high quality health services to meet the needs of people living in country South Australia.
Scholarships are open for applications from people residing in regional areas who demonstrate a strong commitment to continued professional practice in regional and rural areas of South Australia.
Scholarships available
There are three scholarship categories available for the 2024 intake.

Rural Health Undergraduate Scholarships |

Applicants must be full time students currently studying or about to commence an undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline. For full details refer to the Rural Health Undergraduate Scholarships page. |
Regional Local Health Network Scholarships |
Saturday 9 December 2023 | Sunday 14 January 2024 |
Applicants must be permanent employees of a Regional Local Health Network. For full details refer to the Regional Local Health Network Scholarships page. |
Margaret Tobin Mental Health Scholarship |
Saturday 9 December 2023 | Sunday 14 January 2024 |
Applicants must be permanent employees of a Regional Local Health Network or a Rural Support Service. For full details refer to the Professor Margaret Tobin Mental Health Scholarship page.

- University acceptance is not required to apply for a scholarship, if you are successful in winning a scholarship you will then be required to provide proof of acceptance and enrolment.
- Applicants are urged to seek independent personal, financial and taxation advice before considering a scholarship offer.
