International Nurses Day

Held on 12 May every year, the anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birth, International Nurses Day (IND), to acknowledge the compassion, professionalism, and round-the-clock commitment of South Australian nurses.

The Nursing and Midwifery Office holds a range of celebrations across South Australia each year in May to acknowledge the difference nurses make to patients, their families and carers, and the wider community.
