Model of care for inpatient rehabilitation services - mental health services

The proposed model of care for inpatient rehabilitation services sets out the service model that guides the delivery of specialist state-wide inpatient mental health rehabilitation in Inpatient Rehabilitation Services (IRS), located at Glenside Health Services.

The purpose of the model of care is to provide staff with a framework within which to work to deliver high quality evidence-based interventions and approaches to individuals referred to IRS.

This model of care is based on research and the core values of recovery and social inclusion.

The document was developed subsequent to the IRS Review, April 2019 (Keppich-Arnold, Pascu & Moseley). A key recommendation from this review was the development of a new model of care aligned to best contemporary practice.

The proposed CALHN Mental Health Clinical Program Model of Care v2.0 (PDF 2MB) for IRS has been endorsed by the governing bodies and is now available for consultation.
