Dr Rajiv Mahajan
Position: Cardiology

Research interests: Dr Mahajan is a heart rhythm specialist undertaking research on heart rhythm disorders, particularly atrial fibrillation. His previous work includes the demonstration of association of obesity as a risk factor for atrial fibrillation and benefits of weight reduction and risk factor management. He has ongoing projects evaluating the association of atrial fibrillation and cognitive function and biophysics project to improve radiofrequency ablation for heart rhythm disorders, in particular atrial fibrillation.

Dr Hamish Philpott

Research interests: Mucosal immunology, eosinophilic oesophagitis, oesophageal motility, gastroesophageal reflux disease, irritable bowel syndrome. Hamish has previously completed a PhD at Monash University related to eosinophilic oesophagitis, as well as subsequent post-doctoral research. He has ongoing projects related to oesophageal diseases.

Professor Paul Rolan

Research interests: Prof Rolan is a clinical pharmacologist, pain management physician and consultant in the development of medicines. His research interests include new treatment for pain and headache. He is also Director of Innovation at the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Adelaide and Director of the University of Adelaide Clinical Research Facility.
