Elizabeth and Para Hills West Priority Care Centres
The Elizabeth and Para Hills West Priority Care Centres provide community-based healthcare and treatment for eligible patients with urgent but non-life-threatening conditions who would otherwise seek treatment at a public hospital emergency department.
By referral only, Priority Care Centres are led by general practitioners with additional support from SA Health hospital-trained nurses, providing a range of services that support care and treatment with no out-of-pocket costs for eligible patients.
Elizabeth Hospital Avoidance Hub
An Older Persons Emergency Review and Assessment (OPERA) centre is opening this year to help keep older people out of hospital.

Staffed by doctors and nurses, Medicare Urgent Care Clinics are open for extended hours and provide bulk-billed urgent care without an appointment or referral, giving South Australians more options for urgent health care.

The Northern Adelaide Medicare Mental Health Centre will be co-located with a new state-funded 16-bed Northern Crisis Stabilisation Centre due to be completed at the end of 2025. This will improve the capacity of local areas to manage demand for emergency mental health services.
Safe Haven Café
The Safe Haven Café has been established in Salisbury for people in need of mental health support. The cafe has been set up through the Northern Adelaide Mental Health Alliance, a group of individuals and organisations working together to improve mental health responses in the northern suburbs.
Located at 9 John Street, Salisbury, the cafe offers a friendly, compassionate, and non-judgemental space for people in the local community in need of mental health support.
