White Ribbon Australia is an internationally recognised primary prevention campaign aimed at gender equality and ending violence against women and children. The Australian White Ribbon campaign uses primary prevention initiatives including education and awareness; and hosts programs with youth, schools, workplaces and the broader community.
The South Australian Public Sector is collaborating with White Ribbon Australia to prevent and respond to violence against women by accrediting all State Government agencies as White Ribbon Workplaces.
SA Health is committed to workplace gender equality, respect and inclusion – free from discrimination and violence – and is taking active steps to raise awareness, train and engage staff in-line with White Ribbon Workplace accreditation program requirements. SA Health continually reviews its organisational culture, practices and procedures to promote and embed respectful relationships and a safe workplace for all.

A person who fears they are at risk of domestic violence can find out if their partner or former partner has a history of abusive or violent behaviour by making a domestic violence disclosure request.
