Enterprise bargaining
The South Australian public health sector employs more than 33,500 full-time equivalent staff (Workforce Information Report 2019-2020). These include doctors, nurses and midwives, allied health, technicians, administrative and clerical staff, and trades.
The terms and conditions of employment of the employees of South Australian public health services are typically established by way of collective enterprise bargaining.
Enterprise bargaining in the South Australian public sector is overseen by the Attorney Generals Department and conducted in accordance with the Fair Work Act 1994 (SA).
