The NALHN Pocket DTC Smartphone App is an innovative approach to support medication use and thereby provide safer, better patient care. Pocket DTC is the first of its type to be used in an Australian healthcare setting where users can access LHN specific medication resources from their smart device. Since its launch in November 2017, there have been over 1000 downloads with strong interest from other LHNs nationally and internationally.
Finalist — Supporting and Mentoring Staff to Cultural Safety and Professional Security
Watto Purrunna Aboriginal Health Service, NALHN
Aboriginal Health at NALHN has put in place a supervision and mentoring program facilitated by an external provider to support our Aboriginal workforce to proudly represent both their profession and their people and community. The program was initiated to support the new Aboriginal Health Practitioner’s (AHP) credentialing and career structure processes by providing a cultural supervisor/mentor to support workers to be recognised and valued in this multi-disciplinary, multi-tiered organisation.
Finalist — eNDIS System Integration Project

The eNDIS System Integration Project developed an innovative and integrated software and workflow system which has improved the ease and efficiency for Country Health SA staff delivering National Disability Insurance Scheme services to people in country locations. The project team designed, developed and implemented a solution that can track individual client budgets, claim revenue, provide monthly participant statements and integrates with the in-house client management engine that manages staff scheduling.
