Karoonda and District Soldiers' Memorial Hospital provides services including a nurse-led Emergency Department, support by emergency trained General Practitioners via telehealth, outpatients and aged care beds. A range of community health services are also provided by the Country Health Connect team based at the hospital site.

Patients may commence their stay at Karoonda and District Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital but finish their care at one of the neighbouring hospitals with specialist medical or allied health input when required. All hospitals in the area work collaboratively to support the patient care needs of the region.

The Karoonda and District Memorial Hospital Emergency Department (ED) is open to provide nurse-led emergency care on-site when needed, with medical support available via telehealth.

Consumers who require further support or specialist care will be stabilised by the hospital’s nursing staff prior to transfer to another site where needed, for example, Murray Bridge Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, Riverland General Hospital, or a metropolitan hospital.

Parking is available on site, entering from Stokes Road at the front of the hospital. There is also disabled parking available.
