Border restriction update

Effective 12.01am Sunday 17 January, people entering South Australia from the Greater Brisbane Area will no longer be required to self-quarantine for 14 days. They will be required to seek a COVID-19 test on day 1, day 5 and day 12.

People currently in quarantine from the Greater Brisbane Area must remain in quarantine until contacted by SA Health and authorised to leave.

Anyone who visited particular high risk locations must remain in quarantine for the remainder of their 14 day quarantine period. More information on these locations is available at www.sahealth.sa.gov.au/COVIDcontacttracing.

From 12.01am Thursday 21 January, people entering South Australia from the Greater Brisbane Area will no longer be required to seek COVID-19 testing (unless they have symptoms). However, people who enter between 12.01am 17 January and 12.01am 21 January must complete all three tests (day 1, day 5 and day 12).

COVID-19 case update

There have been two new cases of COVID-19 today. The cases are a man is his 40s and a child who both recently returned from overseas and have been in a medi-hotel since their arrival.
