Smoking

In 2022, the daily smoking prevalence among those 15 years and over was 8.2%, which was significantly lower than in 2021 (9.8%).

In 2022, the daily smoking prevalence for females was (7.4%) and males (8.9%) and was highest among 45-59 year olds (11.5%), followed by 30-44 years olds (10.1%), those aged 60 years and over (6.3%), and 15-29 year olds (4.9%).

Vaping

In 2022, the daily vaping prevalance among those 15 years and over was 1.8%, which was similar to 2021 (1.4%).

In 2022, the daily vaping prevalence for females was (1.3%) and males (2.3%) and was highest among 15-29 year olds (3.8%), followed by 30-44 year olds (3.0%), 45-59 year olds (0.7%), and those aged 60 years and over (0.4%).
