The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (TQEH) is a 355 bed, acute and sub-acute care teaching hospital that provides inpatient, outpatient, emergency and mental health services to a population of more than 250,000 people living primarily in Adelaide’s western suburbs.

The Information Desk can be found inside the TQEH main entrance on the ground floor. This building is known as the Tower Block.

New Kangkanthi building now open

The new clinical services building at TQEH is open from 8am Wednesday 3 July 2024.

Known as Kangkanthi, meaning ‘to care’ in Kaurna, the building includes a new emergency department, intensive care unit, operating theatres, medical imaging, procedures and general rehabilitation services.

New location for emergency department

From 8am, Wednesday, 3 July 2024, the emergency department at TQEH will be located on the ground floor of the Kangkanthi building. Pick up/drop off spaces and short term car parking is available next to the Kangkanthi building, via Gate 2.
