Arthroplasty Clinic at Noarlunga Hospital

The SALHN Arthroplasty Unit provides specialised orthopaedic public service for people with hip and knee osteoarthritis of any age, or anyone 50 years of age and over with hip or knee joint problems. The clinic assesses for conservative management or surgery.

Referrals

All referrals are triaged and require minimum set criteria.

  • 3 patient identifiers
  • Provisional diagnosis
  • Results of tests, including xrays 
  • Details of conservative management already undertaken
  • Complete medical history
  • Current medications
  • Patient allergies
  • Social issues 
  • BMI or height and weight

Questionnaires are posted to patients and appointments are made on their return.
