Urology Services at Flinders Medical Centre
The Urology Service provides assessment and management of adult urological problems, and is mainly for patients in the southern Adelaide region.
Commonly treated conditions include:
- Cancer of the kidney, prostate, bladder and male genitalia
- Urinary tract stones
- Male lower urinary tract dysfunction
Complex and multi-day elective surgical procedures are performed at Flinders Medical Centre. Day procedures or less complex overnight procedures are performed at Noarlunga Hospital. All acute presentations are assessed and treated at Flinders Medical Centre.
An outpatient nurse continence service provides bladder issues management, including incontinence.
