Cardiac Services at Flinders Medical Centre

The Regional Cardiology service includes cardiac services to Flinders Medical Centre (FMC), Noarlunga Hospital and Noarlunga GP Plus. The Cardiology Department also provides support to Darwin Private and Public Hospitals. Cardiac Surgery services are based at Flinders Medical Centre.

The regional Cardiology Service at FMC is widely recognised for its commitment to high quality state-of-the-art evidence based practice linked to a strong academic program incorporating clinical trials and innovative interventions in clinical cardiology.

Academic activity and training

Cardiac Services at FMC has a close affiliation with the Flinders University of South Australia. The department runs an advanced training program in cardiology, recognised by the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and has a number of sub-specialty fellowships including interventional cardiology, heart failure and cardiac imaging.
