Lymphoedema compression garments are used to help people with lymphoedema manage their condition and to reduce the development of associated complications.
SA Health has established a Lymphoedema Compression Garment Subsidy Scheme (CGSS) for eligible South Australians to access a 100% subsidy for up to two sets of garments, every six months.
The Lymphoedema Compression Garment Subsidy Scheme is accessible for people who meet all of the following criteria:
Talk with your treating clinician about how you can access the scheme.
The scheme is being implemented across South Australia during 2020/2021 through a staged rollout.
Phase one implementation will commence with access for patients of approved private prescribers across the state and patients of the Central Adelaide Local Network, Northern Adelaide Local Network, Limestone Coast and Flinders and Upper North Local Health Network.
Details regarding phase two of implementation enabling access to patients of Local Health Networks in other parts of the state will be advised soon.
