Healthy eating for kids and teens

From birth to adulthood, eating well every day helps children by:

  • providing the essential energy and nutrients they need for growth and learning
  • keeping their immune system strong
  • reducing risk of developing serious health conditions such as heart disease, stroke, diabetes, some cancers or osteoporosis later in life
  • improving concentration
  • keeping their teeth and gums healthy
  • helping to maintain mental health and wellbeing
