Diabetes Australia

Diabetes Australia was established in 1984 and is the national body for people affected by all types of diabetes and those at risk. In collaboration with state and territory diabetes organisations and through leadership, prevention, management and research, Diabetes Australia provides practical assistance and information to minimise the impact of diabetes on the Australian community.

The National Diabetes Services Scheme (NDSS), administered by Diabetes Australia, provides a range of subsidised diabetes products, support services and a diabetes helpline to help you self-manage your diabetes.

Diabetes SA

Diabetes SA is a not-for-profit member-based association representing people living with, and at risk of, diabetes in South Australia. Through the provision of support, education, advocacy and funding for diabetes research, Diabetes SA aims to reduce the impact of diabetes in the community.

Consumer Medicines Information and Product Information

The Consumer Medicines Information (CMI) is a leaflet that contains information on the safe and effective use of a medicine. Product Information (PI) provides health professionals with a summary of the essential scientific information to allow the safe and effective use of a medicine under nearly all circumstances.

Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute

The Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute is an independent, Australian-based research institute, recognised internationally for its contributions to medical science. For more than 97 years, the institute has focused on research dedicated to the prediction, prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease, diabetes and related disorders.

Australian Diabetes Society

The Australian Diabetes Society (ADS) is the peak national medical and scientific body in Australia for diabetes. The ADS mission is to prevent diabetes and its complications, provide excellence in education for health professionals, improve diabetes treatment and support people with diabetes to live well.

Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) for Health Care Professionals

JDRF is a non-profit, non-governmental contributor to diabetes research. Its mission is to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of medical research. JDRF also provides a number of resources that can assist children and adults with type 1 diabetes and their families.
