Clinical Guidelines

Clinical guidelines are documents that communicate best clinical practice to assist health care professionals and patients to determine appropriate health care for specific clinical circumstances. They promote and facilitate standardisation and consistency of practice, using a multidisciplinary approach, based on a review of published evidence.

All SA Health clinical guidelines that are overdue for review remain in force and continue to be applicable until they are rescinded or updated, irrespective of their scheduled review date.
