Nursing and Midwifery Strategic Directions 2019 - 2022
Nurses and midwives make a unique commitment to the health and care of our community and are proud of the differences we make to people’s lives.
Our commitment to excellence and our compassion for the person at the centre of our care is a given.
Today in an era of unprecedented change, we understand that modern health care is challenging, is resource intensive, and is highly complex and costly. However, now more than ever, nurses and midwives are ideally placed to provide our unique perspective and strong leadership in designing new and different solutions, generating great ideas and continuing to improve the lives of others, in partnership with others.
The new Nursing and Midwifery Strategic Directions 2019 - 2022 (PDF 65KB) outlines a clear vision for the nursing and midwifery professions in South Australia and lists four key strategic priorities to help achieve this vision:
- Enabling professionalism
- Connecting care
- Workforce agility
- Research and innovation
The Nursing and Midwifery Strategic Directions 2019 - 2022 (PDF 65KB) belongs to and is owned by all SA Health nurses and midwives and can only be achieved through the active participation and buy-in of nurses and midwives at all levels and across all services areas.
